The Willett has asked for 3 volunteers to help paint the ice and logos on August 30th from approximately 11a.m. – 3p.m. In exchange for our time, the city will place our logo for free. You would receive four hours towards your volunteer requirement for the upcoming season. Please contact us by Monday, July 18th if you are interested. If we have more than three volunteers interested, the opportunity will be given to those that replied first,
2022-23: CIFSC Membership
We will again be using Google forms to complete this year’s membership registration. The link below will take you to an electronic version of our membership form. We need all members, including current collegiate members and coaches of record from other clubs, to complete the form so that we have current contact information and waivers for this season. At the end of the main form is a link to the waivers that need to be completed with an electronic signature. Families with multiple skaters should complete one registration form and one waiver form with everyone’s signatures in the same form.

Below are the results for the Board Member and Bylaw voting.
Congratulations to Sam Kizewski, Jill Przekurat and Trisha Hudack for being voted on the board for the next 3 years. We want to thank Tanya Sondelski for her past 3 years of service to the club and all she did.
- Article III- Board of Directors Section 3: Qualifications: Any voting member over eighteen (18) years of age, who is not a CIFSC coach on record, may be elected to any office. -Passed by 96%
- Article IV- Powers and Duties of the Board of Directors Section 14: Ice Show Participation: The board of directors shall work in collaboration with the Ice Show Director to determine the participation policy and publish that policy at the time members sign up for the show. –Passed by 92%
- Class 5: Legacy Members: Legacy members shall be former junior club members who have graduated high school and wish to participate as full club members of the Crystal Ice Figure Skating Club rather than collegiate or adult members. Legacy members must be a member of USFSA and have paid CIFSC membership fees. Legacy members are required to fulfill volunteer expectations as established by the CIFSC board. Legacy members will receive 2nd priority for package ice. Legacy members are eligible to vote or hold office. – Passed by 73%
- Class 6: Synchronized Skating Members: Synchronized skating members shall have USFSA membership through the Learn to Skate program, but must also hold a CIFSC membership. A synchronized skating member is a member of the Crystal Edge Synchronized Skating Team who is not yet eligible for junior club membership. Synchronized skating members are not able to skate a package, walk on, vote, or hold office. – Passed by 73%

Every year, the CIFSC board nominates and votes for one outstanding volunteer within our club. We appreciate all of the parents who work tirelessly to make our club the best it can be. However, this year we recognize Trisha Hudack as our Volunteer of the Year.
Trisha not only serves as our club’s Vice President, but she also coordinates our Spring/Summer Ice Packages and is our Test Session Co-Chair. If your skater participated in our annual test session or Red Panther Highschool competition, you remember the snowstorm that weekend. Trisha’s quick thinking rerouted our judges from Chicago to Madison when their flight to Mosinee was canceled. She then drove to Madison late Friday night, through the storm, to get our judges to town. Without her, the event would have been canceled.
Thank you for your hard work and dedication, Trisha. Congratulations on being our Volunteer of the Year!

New Purchase Policy – all club members need preapproval for any purchase they wish to bill to the club. Please submit a Permission for Purchases form located on the website (Club Information– Forms). This excludes items that will be billed to skaters (i.e. costumes). If approval is not given, club members will be responsible for the purchase amounts.
A reminder of an existing policy – club members wishing to be reimbursed for a preapproved purchase should complete an Expense Reimbursement Form. This can also be found on the website (Club Information- Forms).
New Request – as we say goodbye to another large group of seniors, we also prepare to lose a lot of dedicated volunteers. In an effort to make this transition smooth and update policies and procedures, we are asking all volunteers to create a Checklist of Responsibilities associated with their specific roles. If you are listed as a volunteer here, we ask you to work on creating this checklist. Please include a timeline of tasks, necessary contacts, budget items, and all other pertinent information a new volunteer may need stepping into that role. Please email your checklist to cifscstevenspoint@gmail.com. It will be uploaded to our Google Folder. If you are comfortable with Google docs, the folder can be shared with you so you can keep the form updated. If you prefer to update the form and send it to the club at the end of every season, that is fine too. Please submit all checklists by the end of June.
Riverfront is a great opportunity to earn credits towards your skating costs. This year Riverfront Rendezvous will be held July 1-3. Save these dates and keep an eye out for sign-up information in May.
Stevens Point Holiday Parade – JOIN US!
It’s not too late to join the CIFSC and the Stevens Point LTS Program for the Holiday Parade on Wednesday, November 17th. We will be finalizing the float beginning at 5:00. You can meet us in line near the post office. The parade starts at 6:00 and will travel down Main Street and end on the square. The skaters will be walking with the float. Skaters are invited to dress up in costumes or club attire.
*Please send along a bag of candy to be passed out along the parade route.
We hope to see you there!
