Volunteers still needed!

As you know, the club relies heavily on families to assist with the many opportunities we provide to our skaters.  Please consider volunteering for one of our open positions. If we cannot find volunteers for these positions, we may have to look at eliminating some of our fundraisers next year. If you rely on fundraising to offset your skating fees, please consider offering your time to make sure we can continue to have these opportunities available. Three Board members have volunteered to take on additional responsibilities so that we can continue to offer our SCRIP and Butterbraid fundraisers, along with our annual apparel order. The remaining positions are still in need of volunteers:

Concessions Scheduling (you would train with April Brown this season)

  • coordinating concession worker sign-up
  • making sure all hours are filled
  • calculating worker earnings
  • communicating with the Willet staff, CIFSC treasurer, and concession workers

Volunteer Coordinator (you would train with Colleen Greenwood this season)

  • coordinating volunteer sign-up for club events
  • making sure all hours are filled
  • tracking club member volunteer hours
  • communicating with the CIFSC board and club members

Ice Show Pictures Coordinator (you would train with Jill Przekurat this season)

  • coordinating dates/times with the photographer
  • creating the picture day schedule and coordinating volunteers
  • communicating with Willet staff, CIFSC board, and ice show participants

Riverfront RendezvousFundraiser (you would train and work with Terrie Tauferner)

  • this fundraiser is run by 2 club volunteers. There is one position currently open.
  • working with the city to organize the soda stand
  • creating the volunteer schedule and making sure all the hours are filled
  • monitoring the stand during Riverfront
  • reconciling soda inventory and profit with the city
  • communicating with CIFSC board, club members/volunteers/the city

Thank you for your consideration,
