Ice Show 2024: Locker Room Policy / SafeSkate Reminders

We are excited about our Ice Show coming up April 6th and 7th. Please take a few minutes to review the Locker Room policies and SafeSkate protocols for staging and changing rooms during the ice show.

Locker Room Policy

Locker Room Monitoring

The Crystal Ice Figure Skating Club will monitor the locker room areas periodically throughout the Ice Show to ensure that all athletes are abiding by the policy. All Crystal Ice Figure Skating Club board members are SkateSafe certified and will monitor locker rooms following the two-deep* leadership guidelines.

Locker Room Assignments

Separate changing areas will be available for:

  • Male and Female athletes
  • Athletes under the age of 11 who require parent assistance to change should utilize the changing tents which will be located in the Skyward teams meeting room where ice show photos were taken. Skaters and their parent of the same gender can access the changing tents in the Skyward team meeting room utilizing the east-end staircase past the skate shop. Skaters are not allowed to change in designated staging rooms 1 & 2, 3 & 4, and 6 (new basement addition)
  • Synchronized skating participants who are in Basic 4, 5, or 6 are to utilize the changing tents located in the Skyward teams meeting room where ice show photos were taken. Skaters and their parent of the same gender can access the changing tents in the Skyward teams meeting room utilizing the east-end staircase past the skate shop. Skaters are not allowed to change in designated staging rooms 1 & 2, 3 & 4, and 6 (new basement addition)

Ice Show Event

Athletes 18 years of age and older, will be allowed in locker rooms with their teammates under the age of 18 ONLY if they have completed the SafeSport training.

* Two Deep Leadership is a preventative method to minimize one-on-one interactions between minors and adults. Two-deep leadership means that at least two individuals, preferably adults (i.e.- rule of three) are present at all times with individual minors when off the ice.
