Winter Learn To Skate AND Ice Show Registration is OPEN here (all registration is done online this year). The deadline is December 3.
Dear Fall 2021 Learn to Skate Participant,
Congratulations on a great fall session. Many skaters took the ice for the first time this session and learned how to fall and get up all on their own. The skaters learned that it is ok to fall in skating class, as long as you have fun and keep learning. We were happy to see a return of our Teddy Bear class (3-year-olds) after a year of hiatus. We witnessed skaters attempt their first axel in our Tuesday axel class and encouraged skaters to utilize a hockey stick during our hockey classes. Great Job, Everyone!
Our last week of Learn to Skate (LTS) classes (week 9) was on November 20th for our Saturday classes and will be November 30th for our Tuesday class and December 3rd for Friday classes. We will not be having any classes the week of Thanksgiving.
Skaters should have received their progress report, which lists what class to register for the next session. Our Winter Session will begin on January 4th and 8th and will run for nine weeks. Online registration is now open!! LTS registration deadline is the second week of classes.
Our annual ice show returns this year with Imaginate and Skate: Make Believe on Ice. The show is a perfect opportunity for skaters to show off all the skills they have been working on all season. Show Dates are April 9th and 10th. All Learn to Skate individuals that sign up for our winter session and regularly attend are eligible to skate in the show. New this year, Ice Show registration is online, along with the Learn to Skate classes. When registering, be prepared to enter costume measurements. We are offering a walk-in costume measuring on Tuesday, November 30th, 6:30pm-8:30pm in the Warming Room at the KB Willett Arena. Everyone is encouraged to get their skaters measured by our seasoned staff members! Or watch this video to help with home measurements https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VE-XsOKm3N0 All measurements must be in inches. Ice Show registration deadline is December 3rd. No late registrations will be accepted.
We are excited to continue to offer the fundamental courses this winter session, along with a number of additional courses.
Introduction to Synchronized Skating will be offered to those skaters who have passed Basic 3. The class will be offered Tuesday evenings during our winter session. This class is designed for any skater interested in joining a synchronized skating team in the future.
Hockey Classes are designed to help introduce the basic fundamental skills for hockey skating. Any skater who has passed Basic 2 is eligible to register for Hockey 1.
Thank you for sharing the magic of skating with your child. We hope that our Learn to Skate program sparks a lifelong passion for skating in everyone who steps foot on the ice with us.
We hope to see you again during our winter LTS session and the 2021 Ice Show!
