Package Ice: Use CAUTION!, Time Correction & Reminders

The rink staff wants to remind everyone that when the weather is warm, the heat that comes in from the entrance doors creates condensation drips from the ceiling. The staff will do their best to minimize the impact of the drips, but skaters should be cautious on that end of the rink on warm days. Fixing this issue is part of the ongoing updates to the Willett. 

There was a misprint on the Rink Monitor Schedule. Wednesday’s package will run from 6:00-7:00.

CIFSC: Updated Dates / Link; Mandatory Meeting

Here is a link to important dates for the 2022-2023 season. We will update it, as needed. There will not be a printed copy in your Membership Packet. Please note that our Ice Show Picture date has moved to Saturday, March 4th. 

We will have a mandatory Membership Meeting on Monday, August 22nd at 6 p.m. at the KB Willett Ice Arena. Please make every effort to attend this meeting, with your skater, as we have several new updates to share.

Upcoming Dates: Mark Your Calendars!

  • August 22 6:00 p.m. at the KB Willett Ice Arena – Mandatory Membership meeting. Members in attendance will receive their package ice sign up form via email after the meeting. Those not in attendance will receive their package sign-up 24 hours after the meeting. Skaters should attend this meeting with at least one parent/guardian. Remember that packages are assigned on a first come first serve basis. 
  • September 11 is the projected first night of package ice. 
  • October 9 is the first day members can begin selling Butter Braids. Order forms will be available at the membership meeting. This is an optional, individual fundraiser. 
  • October 23 Butter Braid order forms and money due
  • November 3 5:00 p.m. is Butter Braid Pick-up at the Willett
  • November 13 (time TBD) Ice Show Tryouts
  • December 10 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Test Session and Red Panthers High School Competition at the Willett 
  • January 2 6:00 p.m. Dress Exhibition at the Willett
  • February 25 10:00 a.m. -3:00 p.m. Ice Show Pictures at the Willett
  • April 1 & 2 2023 Ice Show

Package ice times and locations will look different for the upcoming season due to the UW-Stevens Point women’s hockey team relocating to K.B. Willett for the upcoming season. Please make sure you’re planning ahead.

5:30-6:15 Low Freestyle
6:15-7:15 Intermediate Freestyle
7:15 Ice Resurface
7:30-8:00 Moves/High School Team (alternating weeks)
8:00-9:00 High Freestyle

Ice Hawks
6:00-7:00 Beginner/Pre-Pre Synchro
7:00 Ice Resurface
7:15-8:00 Preliminary Synchro

Summer Ice: 07/31 & 08/14 Time Adjustment

We apologize for the confusion on the following dates, but the times on the two Sunday’s July 31 & August 14 is 7:30-8:15 not 7:30-8:30. If you signed up for one of these sessions, we will credit your account $3 per session signed up per skater. We’re sorry for any inconvenience. There is a specialty class prior to both of these with a walk-on price of $30, if you’re interested in more ice time.

Riverfront Rendezvous: Concessions Fundraising / Signup

Riverfront Rendezvous

The City of Stevens Point provides a wonderful fundraising opportunity to the Crystal Ice Figure Skating Club to sell soda during the Riverfront Rendezvous 4th of July Celebration—July 1st – 3rd. Skaters will receive credit for each 3 hour shift they work. This is optional and not part of the club’s required volunteer hours.
