Biographical Info
Alexa has been figure skating for almost 10 years. Her primary focus is synchronized skating. She was enrolled in the winter Learn to Skate session in early 2015 and shes been on the ice ever since. After skating through the cities Learn to Skate program, Alexa joined the Crystal Ice Figure Skating Club where she decided to tryout for the Crystal Edge Synchronized Skating Team in 2018.
Thats where her passion for synchronized skating began. She skated with Crystal Edge for four years, two of those years on Crystal Edge Silver, and the other two years on Crystal Edge Gold. Her passion for synchronized skating has lead her to Fond du Lac where she now skates with the Fond du Lac Blades Synchronized Skating Teams currently skating on the Intermediate Team. The Fond du Lac Blades Junior team is nationally recognized and have competed nationally and internationally.
Alexa has competed at many competitions near and far. Consisting of Badger State Games, State Games of America, Kalamazoo Kick-Off, Dr. Porter Classic, Swan Synchro, Midwestern Synchronized Skating Sectionals and more. She will have the pleasure of skating the 2024 National Synchronized Skating Championships and has goals to skate on the Fond du Lac Blades Junior team and which has been named Team USA for over a decade. Shes eager to bring her knowledge of synchro drills, skills, and edge work to individual skaters at Crystal Ice to improve their synchronized skating. These skills include artistic movements, facial expressions, and USFS Skating Skills.
Additionally, Alexa is a left-footed skater that can teach both righty and lefty skaters. Skating lefty is what comes naturally to her, but, skating righty is required for synchronized skating. Alexa can help left-footed skaters feel more comfortable and confident with skating right-footed. She is most comfortable working with skaters Pre-Freeskate-Freeskate 6 and/or Pre-Premilimary Skating Skills through Pre-Silver Skating Skills.
